Hello! My name is Madison Jade McDonald, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion at the University of Georgia, with an emphasis in Health Services and a minor in Global Health. I am also actively pursuing my Master of Public Health in Gerontology at the University of Georgia. My academic and professional experiences have cultivated a passion for empowering individuals and communities to improve their health through education, access, and prevention.
Through my work with the University Health Center’s Fontaine Center, the Athens Community Council on Aging, and Piedmont Athens Regional, I have developed a strong foundation in wellness programming, health education, and patient-centered care. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how social determinants, behavioral choices, and access to resources influence health outcomes across the lifespan.
As I continue to explore the intersections of community outreach, health promotion, and health policy, my goal is to pursue a career in community and public health promotion. I am committed to advocating for equitable, evidence-based programs that foster sustainable health behavior change and empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
